Privacy notice

For the enquiry form on blackorange.org · Last updated 2026-10-04

This notice covers one thing: what happens to the information you leave in the enquiry form on this site. It does not cover our product sites, which carry their own notices.

1. What we collect

Your browser also sends the referring page and a user agent string, which we keep for troubleshooting failed submissions. We do not store your IP address. A one-way hash is used to rate limit repeated submissions from the same source; it cannot be turned back into an IP and it is not linked to your record.

The form contains a field a person cannot see (a honeypot). It exists to identify automated scripts. You never need to fill it in, and you should not.

2. What we do not collect

3. Where it is stored, and for how long

Enquiries are stored in our own data store (KV storage on the Vercel platform) and kept for 12 months, after which they are deleted automatically. If we confirm earlier that we will not follow up, we delete them earlier.

4. Who can see it

Only the colleagues who handle enquiries. We do not pass it to third parties except in these two cases:

Hosting and storage are provided by Vercel, which is a necessary infrastructure processor. For page analytics we load Google Firebase Analytics, which counts visits and sets first-party cookies for that purpose. Those providers handle access data under their own policies.

5. Your rights

You can ask us at any time to show, correct or delete what you left. Email blackorange0425@gmail.com and we will act on it and reply within a reasonable period. If you ask for deletion, the record goes with it.

6. Minors

This form is for business and developer enquiries. It is not directed at minors, and please do not submit information on behalf of one.

7. Changes to this notice

If this notice changes, the date at the top of the page changes with it. If the scope of what we collect changes in a material way, we will say so at the form.
